Kári Egils is an Icelandic singer/songwriter and pianist. In March he won an award that is given to the musician who is considered the most promising in any genre at the Icelandic Music Awards. His brand of melodic pop harks back to some of the great artists of the past, while feeling fresh and modern. On May 17th, he released ‘In The Morning’, the first single from his upcoming sophomore album, which is set to be a massive leap in quality. He is also a jazz pianist and released his debut jazz album, ‘Óróapúls’, last year - featuring some of Iceland’s best jazz musicians.
