Born in Santa Ana, California - Dominique Senshi is a 27 year old singer-songwriter + multi-instrumentalist with a soft spoken smooth tone that found her way to Austin, TX. As a child, Dominique navigated through the world learning life lessons through animes like Naruto, Samurai Champloo, + Sailor Moon in order to fully understand her sensitive nature + harness it as a strength; hence the title of “Senshi”, the Japanese word for warrior. In the background, her family kept a universe of genres in rotation from disco legends like the Bee Gees, to the post-hardcore pioneers The Fall of Troy, + OGs like 2Pac, Wu-Tang Clan, + A Tribe Called Quest. Through inspiration from artists like Amy Winehouse, Ella Fitzgerald, and various female R&B artists, Dominique began writing music at the age of 15 with a birthday present: a baby acoustic Taylor guitar. From there on, Dominique would learn the keyboard + ukulele to further improve her songwriting skills. As a true fan of all music, Dominique uses her liquid sword to explore + master all genres. In February of 2020, Dominique Senshi was featured as an uncredited background vocalist on Soupmakesitbetter’s “4 Play“ which reached the blogs of MTV marking her debut as a recording artist. From there, Dominique released her first single, “Fighting For My Life (Thrive in the Night)”, in May of 2022 and her first collaboration EP “Ki” that same summer.
