Hailing from Santa Ana, California, Dominique Senshi is a singer-songwriter with a jazzy, smooth tone who now resides in Austin, TX. Growing up, Dominique’s profound love of anime helped her navigate through her childhood picking up life lessons from classics such as Naruto, Samurai Champloo and Sailor Moon. The powerful yet kind characters within these worlds inspired her to keep moving forward whiling spreading light no matter what life threw at her; hence the title of “Senshi” which is the Japanese word for “warrior”. Dominique balances her music as she does life, creating fun upbeat tracks in conjunction with moody, sultry creations. Dominique’s eclectic family kept a universe of genres in rotation in the house which fostered her love of all music. These genres included Soul, Disco, Soft Rock, Hardcore/Metal and many more. But through it all, Dominique resonates the most with Jazz, Hip-Hop and R&B citing legends such as Amy Winehouse, Ella Fitzgerald, Pharrell and Stevie Wonder as her main inspirations. At the age of 15, Dominique began writing her own music with a birthday present that changed everything; a Taylor guitar. As a true fan of music, Dominique uses her liquid sword to explore and master all genres marking her as one of the most diverse artists on the rise.
