Blasphemous Basement is an experimental trio with no limits. Formed on March 26, 2022 by Ben Wolfe and Isaac Cosgrove (It Collects), they adopted an unpredictable nature with a release schedule almost as psychotic as the music the band produces. Jack Bolton was brought in two months after the band's inception, as they began recording truly insane compositions and jam sessions. Throughout their first year, Blasphemous Basement explored countless genres: various forms of electronic/ambient in Music From The Depths, noise in Putrid Pasta, and free improv in Evidence Of Unintelligent Life Forms From Other Planets. In their second year, they began diving deeper into metal on Off The Crust (the band's first outing with Owen Kufta), krautrock in The Donkey And The Merman, and jazz in PARTY MIX. Blasphemous Basement had not had enough, though. They began working in the studio with Tales From The Beyond, crafting new genre-defying compositions. Soon after, the band made history with a legendary run of 20 releases in just 17 weeks, including fan favorites Kingdom Of The Sea Lord and The Scrungle Catalogue. The beloved The Wrong Side Of The Bed finished the 20, and is widely considered the band's best, most all-encompassing record. Blasphemous Basement exceeded expectations again on the day of their second anniversary with 22 releases all in one day. They are continuing to expand on their noise rock/punk studio work, pushing themselves even further for their strongest release yet.
