Kay Roze was born Kyrie Peters in Hartford, Connecticut. He moved to Charlotte, North Carolina at the age of 8. Roze began his music career in July of 2016. He has released his debut EP "The Prelude" on May 21, 2017 on SoundCloud exclusively. With bars from songs like Cliche and Washington Views, Roze continued his path in finding his route as an artist. He has continued to release many songs on the SoundCloud platform. After the release of The Prelude, Roze united with Naab. They collaborated and made a heavy hitting song “Reminiscing”. That door opening song lead to the creation of another song "They Hate". In the beginning of 2018, Roze released an Emotional/Lyrical EP titled "The Processional". With songs like Me x Me and "The Real One", Roze expands his artistry with a different element from "The Prelude". February 17th, 2019, Roze released his first 10 song project (8 on premium platforms) "The Recessional". This opened many doors for Roze. With heavy songs like "Recovery", "Aura", "For Real", "Apron" and "What is Love?", Roze expands and matures his versatility into an element of his own. On July 17th, Roze releases a versatile EP, "Dark Side of the Roze". Shortly after, on September 7th, Kay Roze and 1XAY3 releases a collab project "PHASES". An ultimate project that evolved the sound of Hip-Hop in a direction no rap artist has reached. With different sounds like "Icon", "Racks Up", "B.I.G (Interlude)", "HML", "The Truth", and "Phases" the duo expanded their sound.
