The adept and refined Brooklyn hip hop artist, producer and DJ, Lars Viola from Long Island, NY grew up heavily inspired by the sample-based New York City sound. Starting his musical journey as a drummer at 11, Lars began exploring sampling machines like the Akai MPC 2000xl in his teens,which quickly inspired him to make a full commitment into honing in on his craft as a rapper/producer during his college years. Currently, his jazzy hip hop album, Surface Noise, encompassing a smooth etheric quality, with a balance of public-spirited lyrics, escapism, retrospection, and sometimes stream of consciousness style raps over golden age inspired beats, is dropping February 4th, 2022.
