By the time Marc Ongley was 17 his band Maya had supported the Kinks, the Easybeats, Max Merrot, Billy Thorpe and had two memorable shows working with the Beach Boys. Marc was the first Australian guitarist to be admitted Fellow of the Trinity College Of Music London and Licentiate of Music Australia. In 1982 Marc made his international concert debut to a packed Wigmore Hall in London. His numerous credits include his debut jazz CD recorded at Abbey Road Studios in 1993, playing on the film soundtrack of Les Miserables and recording his own compositions with Francis Monkman and Kevin Peek from the group Sky. Other personal career highlights include performing a special piece for actor Sir John Mills on his 90th birthday and playing for dignitaries at the Australian High Commission in London. Marc lived in London for 30 years before returning to Australia in 2019. After many years of teaching, giving concerts, composing and recording Marc now just spends his time on the writing and recording aspect of music.
