The door will show you the way Mellow Beast is a solo project from Northern Ireland, originally starting out in a small bedroom using nothing more than a usb guitar cable and some knock off recording software. After the first solid release of the album "Broadcast Journalist", the project evolved into something more thematic. 2020 saw the release of two albums, The first "Hyperion:An album for an assortment of travellers" tells the tale of a young man eager to escape the mundane reality of life on earth. He ends up travelling through the cosmos to a distant and mysterious planet called Hyperion where he encounters a number of terrifying and amazing creatures. This album culminates in our protagonist falling into a never ending nightmare induced by a terrible wizard The second release "The Sorcerers Sword" tells the tale of how this evil wizard came to be. Set hundreds of years before the events of Hyperion, the Sorcerers Sword dives into the gradual descent into madness for one lonely wizard as he struggles to come to grips with losing his magical abilities.
