In his second work, Angelo Russo confirms a clear understanding of his expressive means, refined over the years through his studies, but also through constant qualitatively effective and enlightening listening activities. His performing experience, which is always very accurate, has found its natural collocation in the track 'Victoria Mary', in which the piano solo creates an ethereal atmosphere, which is subtly melancholic and intimately retrospective, for the very reason that it is deeply felt by the author and linked to a special person. The pianistic experience in the recording studio, for the performance of 'Victoria Mary', is defined as “pure emotion” by Angelo, also because it is accompanied and backed by leading musicians such as Alfonso Deidda, Daniele Sorrentino, Pierpa Bisogno and the precious voice of Carolina Bubbico. All the songs were composed by Angelo Russo and arranged by A. Deidda with sound solutions and expressive directions which are always unpredictable. "Last One", "Eleven song", "Susy", "Golden chip" and "Bossa & soul" are the other compositions of the CD where we witness the unfolding of A. Deidda’s agile and incisive sax, piano and synthesiser solos, P. Bisogno’s elegant vibraphone solos and D. Sorrentino’s pulsating double bass solos and the expressive phrasing, of unique beauty, of the voice of C. Bubbico, special guest in "Golden chip", which represents the value added to the overall work. Mauro Delicata
