modal PROJEKT combines the organic tones of ambient modular synthesis with guest musicians from the world of jazz and beyond who improvise free flowing 'modal' solos (i.e. single key solos built on 'modes' - most famously explored in Miles Davis' 'Kind of Blue' album) around subtle electronic sound beds and beats. Guests to date have included luminaries from the Danish contemporary jazz scene, a former Young British Jazz Musician of the Year and an official Hammond Organ hall of fame session keyboard player. Originally conceived by the multi-platinum award winning Danish producer and songwriter, Per Ebdrup (well known for Swing Republic among many others), modal PROJEKT is something he works on in his down time late at night in his home studio. This music is best enjoyed on headphones and as a mood enhancer. Enjoy.
