Larry Krone is a New York City based visual and performing artist whose exhibition history includes solo shows at Pierogi, Brooklyn and Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis. His work is in collections including the RISD Museum, Emily Rauh Pulitzer, as well as many private collections.   Krone’s performances have been commissioned by Joe's Pub at the Public Theater (NYC), The 8th Floor/Rubin Foundation (NYC), The RISD Museum (Providence, RI), Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis, The Whitney Museum of American Art, and PS122 (NYC). His voice and/or ukelele can be heard on the albums of Jim Andralis, Clint Michigan, Bridget Everett, Champagne Jerry, and Stephin Merritt and he appears in the independent film, The Purple Onion, singing his original song "It’s Hard to Live”.   Krone designs and fabricate costumes and sets, and as House of Larréon, is the exclusive designer of stage gowns for Bridget Everett. Krone’s “Look Book,” with photographs by Todd Oldham, is in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute’s library.   Krone is a graphic designer for his own promotions, zines, and merch as well as for artists and authors including Jim Andralis, Clint Michigan, Bridget Everett, and Lauren Hilger.   Krone is a 2024, 2021 and 2017 Yaddo Fellow, a 2023 Ox-Bow AIR, a 2020 FCA grantee, a 2019 Caldera AIR, a 2018, 2012 and 2011 MacDowell Fellow, a 2015 and 2009 NYFA fellow, a 2014/15 Joe’s Pub AIR, a 2013 Millay Colony Fellow, and a 2006 Peter S. Reed grantee.
