Smurfo was born and raised in East Atlanta, Georgia. He started his musical career in the kitchens of his family's home. Smurf’s iconic sound started while listening to the shrieks of James Brown , Sade to the 808s of Kanye West . In high school Smurf quickly became popular being the shortest student in the entire school despite his age or grade. Upon graduating from Columbia High School, he packed his bags and moved to Portland, Oregon to improve his craft. The death of his cousin caused him to move back home to Atlanta. He quickly got in the mix as a engineer at Loud House Studios. Smurf began working daily with artists like HoodRich Pablo Juan, Gunna , Lil Baby , Young Thug , he was encouraged to use his talents to become an artist. Smurf’s hard work and dedication caught the eye of Freebandz artist Guap Tarantino and Freebandz Ceo Casino . They took him under their wings, teaching him how to grow and to be a better artist. Smurfo’s influences are Young Thug , Future and Michael Jackson .
