Hashland is a Philadelphia-based rapper, singer, producer, DJ, and engineer who incorporates his city living with his origins of Ashland, New Jersey to create an identifiable style that's loved all around Philly. His sound and brand is heavily influenced by the 90's, drawing inspiration from Lauryn Hill's melodic rhymes, Pharrell's vibrant and energetic production, Kanye West's sample chopping, and of course, Biggie's effortless and easy-going flow to introduce something new to organic Hip-Hop and Alternative R&B. By learning to be a one-stop shop and mix and master all of his own original music in house, Hashland has learned a variety of skills that has helped him collaborate with some of Philly's greatest up-and-coming artists to create music that bends genres to unite people from every way of life. He strives to create timeless but relatable music that people can enjoy in any decade, while also helping to heal those who are facing the struggles of every day life by giving them something to laugh and sing to when things get difficult.
