jovani is a self-produced singer and songwriter from Boise, Idaho. His music is heavily influenced by old-school R&B, pop, and modern hip-hop. Although jovani's influences are noticeable in his tracks, there's no specific box that he stays in. From the projects "I Forgot to Mention," "Backhome," to "Memos 2 U," you can find somber songs about heartbreak to introspective lyrics discussing self-awareness and love. On stage, jovani and his band bridge the gap between studio-produced backtracks and live instrument performances. Their recipe is simple: catchy drum loops and smooth melodies paired with punctual vocal delivery. With their diverse musical backgrounds, you can expect to hear influences from alternative R&B all the way to electronic music. jovani, born Alec Kelso-Capili, is a Filipino-American born in Corvallis, OR, who later relocated to the Treasure Valley of Idaho with his family. Music was always a major part of his life, but he officially started his music journey while attending The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA – in the midst of studying Audio Engineering.
