Vermont-artist Pro Knows Music (Pro) is anything but predictable. As a youngster, Pro cut his teeth playing the drums in hard core and punk bands while simultaneously writing and recording raps. Years later, a friend pointed out he had a “Prolific” ear for music and dubbed him “Pro”. Pro has received national recognition and performed hundreds of shows as one half of New England hip-hop duo The Aztext; opening for national acts such as Snoop, Lupe Fiasco, and Atmosphere. Pro enjoys the challenge of finding creative ways to stay connected to music and draws on his reality to influence the content. Themes include: the joys and struggles associated with being a parent, husband, home owner, worker, artist, musician, friend, producer, rapper… Sounds are influenced by decades of diverse listening and thousands of hours of practice.
