Doopy Rugz aka Doop, is an American born rapper from Akron, Ohio. Doopy Rugz was destined to be a musician with the love of all different types of music he had at a young age. Although he came from a rough neighborhood, he still remained focus on being great at what he wanted to do. At the age of 19, Doop joined the US Army. Realizing he didn’t like being told what to do, Doop began writing music seriously everyday until finally buying his own equipment to start recording. In 2012 he even took his gear to Afghanistan to record to show the dedication he has for his music. After witnessing tragic events in Afghanistan and coming back to the United States, Doopy Rugz took his skills to another level by preparing his first album Phase 1, which was released in April 2013. Phase 1 would prepare and teach Doopy Rugz about the music industry and what it really takes to make it.
