Richie Sosa is a Canadian rapper from Toronto. Raised in an East Scarborough metro housing community, his childhood and teenage years were clouded by turbulent and violent events. After spending the majority of his late teens in and out of correctional facilities, he found his route to redemption through music. His superior songwriting skills have garnered him a job writing pop songs and hooks for Multi-Platinum and Grammy nominated producer Boi-1da. Sosa set his place in the Toronto urban community as a trendsetter. As a veteran of the Canadian urban music community. Sosa has had various singles charting over 1000 radio spins on major American radio including Hot97 and Shade45. He has appeared on over 500 mixtapes including those hosted by industry heavy weights, DJ Whoo Kid, DJ Clue, DJ Green Lantern, Dj Skee, DJ Scream as well as appearing on DJ Drama’s highly regarded series Gangsta Grillz and more. Between 2009 and 2010, he released over 50 original and freestyle records which he self-serviced to approximately 300 urban music blogs. He has toured alongside Drake which the two also have a record together “Easy To Please” on Drakes mixtape “Comeback Season”. He also opened for NeYo, Snoop Dogg, Talib Kweli, Mos Def and more.
