Sokio is a composer, music supervisor and creative strategist. He has composed and produced four critically aclaimed operas in his native Chile, released several indie albums throughout the Americas, and is currently based in New York City where he founded and now directs the New Latin Wave. He has worked in A&R with New York label Hueso Records, and he has been running his own label Ponk Records for almost ten years. As a curator, he was worked with LAMC, SXSW, Knotel, Babys All Right, Mercury Lounge, Glasslands, Cameo and Silent Barn among others. Remezcla named him among 11 Latinos Defining Brooklyn Music. Music supervision highlights include movies in the US, Mexico and Chile such as Knock Knock (Eli Roth, 2015), Much Ado About Nothing (Alejandro Fernandez Almendras, 2016), and the album soundtrack for the Mexican blockbuster film Hazlo Como Hombre (Nicolas Lopez, 2017)
