Zoe Gawd was Born on November 24th in Queens, New York. “Hillside and 168 to be exact, the cut block.” Being from New York City, she’s used to the fast paced life. “From literally being near every bus and train leading me to go anywhere in the city I wanted, from having neighbors that were all different races and colors so the food the culture is huge in the hood. I’m way more open minded, I been around people who have been out the country they’ve seen things... the hustle and bustle, everybody always got somewhere to be. Living right off the Ave I seen a lot. We seen stars buying jewelry and spending cash, to fights and junkies, and hustlers and cops we seen it all. The Ave is the Hub. my hood exposed me to so much there’s nothing like it.” 
 Zoe Gawd started writing poetry when she was 8 years old. Being the youngest of 3, Zoe Gawd was by herself often, so writing was a great way to express her self. After a while, she transitioned into making raps, which she kept to herself. Zoe Gawd attributes most of her influence from 90’s hip hop. In her sophomore year of high school, Zoe would always go to friends homemade studios and just watch in awe, building up the courage to record. In 2016 she finally recorded her first freestyle to Kendrick Lamar’s higher power. She fell in love.
