ENF aka Eddy the 13th A humble start in the small suburb of Pinetown, South Africa, ENF found escape in music at a very young age. In a single parent home, after his father was sent to prison on a life sentence when ENF was not even a year old, music was the only medium that truly spoke to him and also giving him a platform to express his life and struggle. Isolated and teased at school, an outsider within his home and, abused by his brothers, meeting and knowing his father only through the bars that housed him, outspoken, misunderstood and what they call today, a “Hood Rat”, nothing ever truly made sense except for Hip Hop. Discovering the underground Hip hop scene gave ENF a reason to live and a way to put his life, feelings and journey to perspective. Although finding Music as an outlet, it wasn’t in anyway an immediate saving grace. 1 x Drinking and Driving charge, 1 x Drug Dealing Charge, countless assault and damage to property cases, it seemed life was never on his side and the rise to success never really came up on the cards.
