Born and raised in Wichita Kansas , OceanView Slim was heavily influenced by the West Coast music and some of the legendary artists such as “The Great Nipsey Hussle , Tupac , Currensy, Don Kennedy , Kendrick Lamar and so many more . “ Jay z” Plays the most important role in OceanView Slims life musically . OceanView Slim began his musical career While in high school after forming a group known as “Dreamteam Army” , The group went on to become a high school sensation which subsequently landed them a single on their local radio station in 2006! With the support of family and friends the group put together a small tour and hit small cities around the state ! The group had caught the eye of a few A&R’s and took a trip to New York City and met with labels such as BadBoyENT and Universal records! After returning to Wichita Kansas , Due to life and different age gaps in the group , the team went their separate ways!
