Slingshot is a southern California based, genre bending rock band created by Dylan Baumgartner in 2018 as a solely online studio band project with releases such as "Track Record" [2018], "Sugar" EP [2019] and "Trapped in Oblivion'' LP [2020], collaborating with various local artists and covering genres from acoustic ballads to hip-hop. With the release of "The Straw Man" LP [2021], Slingshot took to the stage performing live shows and studio live sessions while being fronted by the fictional Straw Man character. The following year ushered in a new era for the band, implementing alternative punk and hardcore influenced material with EP releases "Dawn of Decline" [2023] and "Invaders From Uranus!" [2023]. Currently the band is performing live shows to promote their new single "157AM" and b-side track "Sons of Yoren".
