Brian Asselin is a songwriter/saxophonist/arranger living in Ottawa, Canada. He is currently working with such groups The Commotions. Brian tends to write music that can be found in the Pop world with a cross-over to R&B/Soul as he has been hugely influenced by Motown since he used to play with The Funk Brothers out of Detroit. 
 The world around Brian has always been his biggest muse when it comes to songwriting. Brian takes situations from his life or the life of his friends and family to try and come up with the best soundtrack. His first song came from his stay at The University of Ottawa after attending teachers college. The song entitled You Have Made A Difference, co-written by Eric Disero, has become an anthem for teachers all around the world reaching almost 3 million views on YouTube. In 2013, Brian released a project entitled Delbert & The Commotions featuring Funk Brothers frontman Delbert Nelson. The album is a throwback to Motown and has been placed on networks such as HBO and ABC. 
 Brian is currently working as the musical director The Commotions on all upcoming releases.
