Dio Gin was born & raised in Boston, Massachusetts. He started listening to Hip Hop at a young age with his main influences being Nas, Wu-Tang Clan, Redman & Black Thought. Dio Gin got his start in music when he joined local Hip Hop label Acuta Records in 2001 and became a member of the Pangea Pham releasing ‘The Pangea Project’ in 2005. As a solo artist Dio has released two mixtapes, an EP, and three albums including ‘February 9th’ (2010), ‘Have Mic, Will Travel’ (2010), ‘Escape From Home’ (2013), ‘The Lonely Hero’ (2019), ‘Made With Love’ (2022), and ‘The Peoples Champion’ (2024). Dio has been on notable tours such as the "Lead The Way Music Festival" in 2009 and "The Tour For Life" in 2022 while also being the opening act for renowned artists such as Ghostface Killah, Mobb Deep, Styles P, Pharoahe Monch, Black Sheep & Heltah Skeltah. Dio has also collaborated on songs with many artists including Rah Digga, Cappadonna (Wu-Tang), and Wordsworth Young Zee.
