A collector of memories and observer of life. Hannah Lane’s journey with music begins in church at the tender age of seven. Unbeknownst to her parents, a young Hannah has a hidden talent, she starts singing along to a gospel song playing on TV and they are blown away. Her parents have been supportive and encouraging throughout this journey. TV karaoke morphs into a genuine love of the art form, she discovers song writing and the fuse is completely engulfed at this point. Church, concerts, concerts at church, Hannah continues to sing everywhere she can, while simultaneously honing her other hidden talent, one that would only bare fruit years and a few clumsy songs later. The journey through school and transitioning into adulthood would provide the perfect set of circumstances for this angsty teenager to improve her “other” gift, song writing. This quest to understand her world and process these new emotions leads Hannah to start writing poetry. This would prove to be a master stroke, but first, back to the poetry, these poems become like a journal for Hannah to exhale her deepest most intimate thoughts, fears, hopes, and dreams. But of course, poets must write poetry, song writers must write music, and singers must sing, so it doesn’t take long before Hannah’s poems find life as songs, some of which would find themselves on her debut EP, the 19th Rotation.
