By the age of 20 before the arrival of Bennie Ray’s first child, in Dallas, Texas during a local showcase, Kurupt a member of Snoop Dogg’s Dogg Pound, nicknamed Big Ben, Biggie Smalls (Notorious B.I.G) of the South because of his finesse and smooth powerful deliver. The name stuck. Big Ben was a member of the popular group “Rally Boys” from Dallas where he gained national recognition. He released three albums with the Rally Boys, Rally World Vol. 1, Rally World Vol. 2 and Rally Boys Up In Your Yard. Big Ben has been highlighted on main stages with Lil Wayne, Baby, The Hot Boyz, Bun B and Too Short. With a gifted memory Big Ben began making music that he felt with storytelling about real life situations. Big Ben has performed several songs with celebrity artists such as UGK, Devin the Dude, Scarface, Lil Flip, Mia X, Kurupt and Lil Boosie.
