Aidan Thomas, aka Emcee Aidos, grew up in the suburban area of Werribee, west of Melbourne in Australia. His first favourite form of music was pop, however when he started attending high school in 2013, he really grew a love for hip hop and rap. The lyrics of the likes of Eminem, Dr. Dre and N.W.A. were among his favourites, as they helped him get through all the experiences high school brings. Later forming a love and respect for the likes of Ice Cube, Eazy-E and 2Pac, and venturing out into other genres such as rock, he never forgot or lost his love for rap and respect for how much it helped him. If you listen carefully to the sound he releases, you’ll listen to a story told, hence the title of his first EP released in February 2021 The Story of an Accidental Rapper - EP. You will hear the pain and struggles dealt with in life. He dedicated his June 2021 debut album titled Straight Outta Werribee both to one of his favourite rap group's N.W.A as mentioned, but also of course to his hometown. The name was also inspired by the memes going around after the release of the 2015 biopic of N.W.A entitled 'Straight Outta Compton', some of which said 'Straight Outta Werribee'. His December 2022 sophomore album, Redemption, is dedicated to the story of his journey through primary and high school, the aftermath of it all and how it has had an effect on him.
