In 2019 I. Love. Myself. (aka I.L.M.) was started between CØN & Symple with the help of some friends. It began as an effort to help bring hip-hop to their hometown of Wilmington, North Carolina, the efforts soon developed as they chose to represent their city's culture and music. They continued to gain a fanbase in their home state and built a studio to truly express themselves. I.L.M. continued to push their creativity and music by collaborating with other local artists, however, Symple split from the duo and pursued a different career in 2020.
However, CØN was determined to not give up on I.L.M. and decided to start producing for artists in his city and help them start an independent music career by releasing their music through WE ARE I.L.M. Records. One artist named Spazmenos Smoak had been meeting with CØN consistently and was invited to join I.L.M. after appearing on 'Changes' in 2020. Spazmenos Smoak not only proved himself on a microphone but he also began providing the team with photography, videos and graphic designs.
Later Bac-on Bacon, a life long friend of Spazmenos Smoak, began working with CØN and featured on multiple tracks before he joined. Many artists in Wilmington have joined the group for songs, shows and content including ABA Wirdo, $lurs, Jeffece, Neo 2xxs and more. I.L.M. continues to reach for the stars and build a devoted fanbase by competing, traveling for tours and shows, releasing music, content and more.
