TLDR: Maciek Polak is a proper synth nerd. he talks a lot but does a lot, too. He knows the EMS Synthi AKS very well and says he likes it a lot and the synth seems to like him back. --- Maciek Polak is a person whose life has been revolving around analogue synths for the best part of last 25 years. He services and renovates them with his company called analogia.pl, one of few in Europe, as a journalist, he has been active for decades writing about history and theory of analogue synths but, above all, is their avid user and fanatic. His job is a simultaneous curse and blessing for him because countless classics pass through his hands and it's virtually impossible to devote as much time playing and cherishing them as he would wish. He considers himself a very lucky person because the love of his life - EMS Synthi AKS - could easily be the only synth for him, should a Synthesizer Doomsday ever happen. He has no musical education whatsoever, does not consider himself to be an artist, has a very laid back approach to music making and generally does what he likes the most, to the best of his abilities, striving to be inventive and unpretentious. Such is "1972" - an album anyone could record but for some reason no one did. A solid craftsmanship, done with taste.
