Just 30 kilometers from the heart of Vancouver, Malikai Motion was raised by a single mother while his father was in and out of prison in Toronto. Vowing to not let her son go down the same path, Malikai's mother exposed him to art as an outlet to his unanswered questions about his father. The bilingual (French / English) Canadian now sits among the elite producers of Vancouver’s music industry having amassed over half a million streams in 2020 while producing for some of Canada’s top artists. 
 He continues to cement his reputation for high quality productions by making instrumentals for chart topping musicians, Merkules, Tory Lanez, Junk, Jamie Rose and Kresnt. 2021 has been Set in Motion for Malikai as his personal releases continue to be heavily praised by Hip Hop Canada, Happy Mag and The Pit LDN. The young Canadian producer continues to keep eyes throughout his journey. Malikai’s 2021 release, Big Mood, reached over 150,000 fans in just under a week.
