It’s hard to say if it’s his California style or his many years in the game, but one thing we can say for sure is that Reap is a force to be reckoned with. He thrives on stage and his genuine love for the music and passion for delivering messages is seen clearly when everyone from Hip-Hop heads to skaters and even steppers are vibing to his music. His lyrics convey messages from experiences both in the west coast and here in Chicago. Although he works with various producers worldwide, he maintains his unique style when choosing which beats to lay his lyrics over. Even though his background is heavily influenced by both his church beginnings as well as the Latin music he grew up with, Reap says, “Chicago is what kind of made me musically.” Even though he stays busy with his other work as both photographer and director/videographer for R. Raven Photography and Video he is avidly working on himself to reach his full potential as a Hip Hop artist. The combination of his unmistakable talent and amazing support system is sure to get him far. His music is listened to internationally and as he receives praises for what he’s doing from people he’s never met, his parents make sure to keep him going here at home. “I wouldn’t have continued to do music if it weren’t for my parents. Not a lot of people have that.” And so his journey continues, with endless stories and more than enough people willing to listen.
