Ben Ruhl is a musician and recording artist. From the Pacific Northwest, Ben's musical beginnings started at age 12 with a private instructor learning drums and percussion. His passion for music kept him actively involved in jazz band, symphonic band, and choir throughout his time in school. In 1990, drawn by the allure of the emerging grunge scene, Ben moved to Seattle. While there he honed his craft playing drums for numerous bands of all different styles, until eventually landing an audition for Blue Man Group in 2002. After a successful audition, he moved to Las Vegas performing nightly with the show as a full-time drummer. Career highlights with Blue Man Group include performances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Live With Regis and Kelly, and percussionist on their c.d. release Live at the Venetian. With over 13 years spent at Blue Man Group, he left the company and settled in Folsom, California where he writes and records music from his home studio. Outside of his own music, Ben enjoys collaborating with other artists, and is a member of the band The Orbit Place.
