Roberto Lodola, an influential Italian DJ, composer, and record producer, began his career in 1982. Renowned for promoting the "Afro-Funky-Cosmic" genre, a fusion of various styles, his continuous search for new records reflects his evolving style. In the early '80s, he organized major events like "Afroraduni," a precursor to the Rave Party scene, managing dance clubs and directing events. His collaboration with percussionist George Aghedo led to successful productions like "Zanzibar Helen" and "Marimba do Mar," classic hits of the Balearic Sound. He released "African Rhythms" in 1991, achieving success in the UK. In the '90s, Lodola innovated the "Afro Funky-Alternative Sound," exploring modern sounds and influencing alternative Italian clubs with "New Afro Style-Ethno Beat-World Music." Since 2008, he has embarked on the "One-Night 70 No Limit" project dedicated to Funky, Obscure Disco, Nu Disco, and Rare Groove music, which continues to enjoy tremendous success. Relocating to Ibiza in 2021, Lodola brings eclectic DJ sets to various venues such as Pikes, Kumharas, Space, Malanga, EsXiringuito, Nagai Ibiza, Pacha (Funky Room), Sunset Ashram, The Standard, Ibiza Sonica, and Ibiza Global Radio. With a presence in 300+ clubs across Italy and Europe, his career showcases dedication to music exploration and innovation, solidifying his prominence in electronic music and DJ culture.
