Fausto Ivan Lopez aka Legal Alien of the Dune Sea Crew, is an original hip hop/soul artist based out of Yuma Az. Co-Founder & Artist, of Dune Sea Records. Originally from South central LA. Watts, Los Angeles to be exact. Moved to Yuma, Az. in the early 90’s. His parents, with an urge to escape the gang violence that was affecting the family, decided to make a move to the south west of Arizona. “The move was very interesting to me...I was so used to seeing gang life around all the time. Gangs killing each other for their neighborhood, only causing hurt & pain for their families. To seeing my first, real life, skater dude in a desert city. I remember asking if there were any quicksand spots around. Haha. It was a culture shock when we arrived for sure.” Yuma, Az...not only was there a difference in culture, but that’s where Legal Alien’s music horizons started expanding. Although his music library was growing, hip hop is what caught the eye and ear of Legal Alien. Listening to a variety of artists, both Christian & non, began the influence & the molding of the type of artist he has become. Another big part, in fact the core, in Legal Aliens influence as an artist/musician, is God. “Christ is a big part of who I am as a person & artist.
