Nicolas Fehr is a Berlin-based singer, composer, performer, and media artist with a special interest in experimental pop, interdisciplinary and performing arts. A pop sensibility and underlying pathos run through his work, within which alter-egos and meta-narratives serve as vessels for artistic and aesthetic research. Within less than two months Fehr released his debut solo album “Violet”, a self-directed short film, and the bonus album “Violet XLVIII”. Drawing inspiration from Eastern devotional music and analog synthesizers, Fehr sets out on a journey into the depths of his subconscious. Slaloming between dreamy pop songwriting, electronic experimentation, and purely instrumental compositions; all song are tied together by Fehr’s sensitivity and a playfully ethereal sound palette. Furthermore, Fehr is a member of the art-pop band ooi, in which he plays guitar, synth, and performs lead vocals; and frequently works in theatre, film, and dance.
