A.K. is an Indian-American hip-hop artist who draws his influence from his birthplace in Hyderabad, his childhood growing up in the Bay Area, and his current life in New York City. His music is lyrical, gritty, and bass-heavy. He dropped his debut EP Model Minority July 2017 to high acclaim from the South Asian community. His songs Aye Habibi and Middleman have been particularly well received. 
His latest single, Praise, has also garnered interest across the community especially since the music video was shot in his birthplace of Hyderabad and explores the topic of generational privilege. 
 In addition to making his own music, he is also an ardent supporter and patron of all South Asian art.
