"All I ever wanted to do was put my team on." proclaims Stunna World Hoot from a prison cell somewhere in Virginia. Born Richard Dortch, Stunna Wolrd Hoot, was raised in the mean streets of south Richmond, VA. The struggle forced him to learn to fend for himself at an early age, which ultimately prepared Stunna World Hoot for the many trials and tribulations he would have to endure on his way up out of the ghetto. Hustling came naturally to Stunna World Hoot, more of a means for survival than a celebrated lifestyle. The money came quick, but so did problems, and Stunna World Hoot knew that he would have to find a way to excel and not just survive, and the hustling in the streets wasn't what he wanted to be doing. While on the block making a buck, Stunna World Hoot developed his "Flow," passing the time between plays to write rhymes and freestyling for anyone that would listen; he discovered a hidden talent, the art of storytelling. Using real-life experiences and situations, Stunna World Hoot recorded and released several tracks that helped him gain support from his neighborhood first, then his city. During that campaign, Stunna World Hoot had a run-in with the law and is currently serving a brief prison sentence. The label he helped co-found is rolling full steam ahead, releasing tracks and videos from Stunna World Hoot via their Distribution Partner, CMDSHFT, making sure to keep the momentum going until Stunna World Hoot comes home.
