Top Cat, Born Felix Gene Dixon in Kansas City, Kansas. A musical prodigy who trained with the legendary Leon Brady, who's other pupils consisted of Norman Brown and countless others. T.C. Learned to play all woodwind instruments as well as drums and keyboard. He played in band all through middle school and high school. Fresh out of high school, Dixon married his first wife, Sherry Dixon and had a son. 2 years later he was recruited to a band called Together on ABC records. He moved to L.A. and toured with the band a bit but the album didn't do well. Felix later linked up with a another band called Shades of Madness in the 80s. Felix would later play with many celebrities and he gained notoriety in the Kansas City music scene. Until the end, he was a dues paying member of the historic Mutual Musicians Foundation located in the world famous 18th & Vine Jazz district in Kansas City, MO. However, he still did not garner any album sale success. Top Cat later decided to put music on hold and joined the Marines in the 80s. Dixon returned to Kansas where he later married again in 2005 to his second wife Harriet. He would return to music and travel the globe with acts like Sydney Ellis. He joined MidWorld Entertainment ™ which is owned and operated by his son K. D. Dixon where they would make music for years together. "Memories..." is his first official nationally distributed album.
