The Modern Kind are a 5-piece indie-rock band from Glasgow, Scotland, formed in 2011 by Andrew ‘Drew’ Blackett and Ian Duncan. Lead guitarist Conor Allan and bass player Callum ‘Meechs’ Meechan joined the band in 2022 followed by rhythm guitarist Connor ‘CJ’ Jamieson in 2023, following the departure of former lead guitarist Duncan Glasgow. Since 2021 the band have released 3 live singles at Headhunter Studios, recorded and mixed by Donald ‘Donny’ McDougall and have also released 2 studio recorded EP’s ‘Sonic Mania’ and ‘Bonafide’, both recorded at Substation Studio, mixed and mastered by producer Michael Brennan, who has a stacked CV working with artists like The Cure, Snow Patrol and Primal Scream.
