Los Angeles based rapper Jamal Virgo began his music career in his dorm room at the University of Arizona under the name Van Jamme. After 4 years & a degree in Communication, Jamme moved back home to continue the pursuit of music. 
 Releasing a debut EP called ALiVE in 2016, under his first stage name van Jamme, with hit single "Wake Up," followed with his uniquely delivered debut project "The Waiting Game" in 2017 Which included fan-favorites "Never Lackin" & "Fool's Love.” 
 He released 2 EPs “Cash in the Van” & “Trouble in Paradise” in the Summer & Fall of 2018 & provided fans with a ton of bounce & summer essentials. 
 2019 would be a defining year of losses with family & friends, financial pitfalls & physical discourses. All these trials led to switch from van Jamme to Jamal Virgo. & as an introduction to the growth, Jamal released his first Self-Produced 3 song EP, “pain, in retrograde.” where he shared his most honest work. 
 Jamal Virgo is a part of a collective called BYWAYofUS, which includes Kahlil Amani & Amon 
 He has performed at Los Globos, The Observatory (San Diego), The Viper Room, The Roxy & Union. & has also been featured on Earmilk, DJ Booth & UCLA Radio. 
 Jamal believes his music will take him far, but being himself will forever take him higher.
