"Been a long time coming, but it's coming on time," says La'Row in reference to her capricious journey into the woman and artist she is today. A self proclaimed homebody and empath, East Stroudsburg's own Simone La'Row (Sih-moan La-row) cites her humble beginnings as the genesis to her humility and level headedness. La'Row identifies as being covertly tough in thought, but with a timid tongue and reserved nature. Music has been a muse from the womb, her most trusted confidant and main source for expression and vulnerability. The Bronx native; Pocono hometown artist and producer began writing around the tender age of ten. Influenced by Jay-Z, Lauryn Hill, Maxwell, Kanye West, Erykah Badu, Aaliyah, Lil Wayne, Mos Def etc. as well as Reggae, Oldies & Gospel. She encapsulates all of that and more into an eclectic, well rounded style of soulful harmonies and meaningfully executed wordplay. Her debut album "The Open" is an ode and a farewell to her fears and closed off phase and an introduction to her unapologetic, true self. Epitomizing the growth of her mind, heart & soul. Opening up in ways that are new to even herself. Focusing on potency and connectivity in her lyrics beyond just the punchlines and clever bars she's always catered to. With her executive producer and main collaborator Jay Michael in conjunction, "The Open" is set to be released in winter 2021/Spring 2022.
