I’m a brain cancer survivor who makes easy-listening yet provocative rap and alt-pop music from my basement in Minneapolis. While I still make some music that’s just dumb and fun and goofy, some of my music is inspired by the fact that I faced mortality. The reality is: everybody today is living right on the brink of death, and they’ll do the same thing tomorrow and the next day if they’re so lucky. Not everybody has to face that though. To listen to my music is to be swept away in a rip current of layered vocals, to be sucker-punched by an unexpected double entendre, and to be forced to think deeply about something that wasn’t on your mind before you pressed play.
