Luka Tacon, born in New York, is a DJ and producer and a founding member of The Deep, a NYC collective. The group was birthed in the basement of a Bushwick BK bar, its members throwing down house cuts til the early morning, and now extends to the "Brooklyn summer staple" Might Get Weird parties. Luka cut his teeth in the NY indie rock and dance scene, while slowly drifting deeper into the underground. With influences from jazz yet veering toward techno, he makes his first original offering with a debut EP forthcoming on Brooklyn's Plant Music, due out in October. His pulsating remix of Gem1n1seven's "Spaceflight" was released with at the end of the summer, also on Plant.
