Rob Bong is the solo project of Rob Henry, one of the founding members of cult band Children of the Bong, and latterly one half of Euphonic. The Knee High Dub EP is a celebration of his 30 years in electronic music, with low intensity acidic stompers and heavy stepping dubs followed by future funk conductors and downtempo dreamers. “After writing music as a duo for most of my life, there’s something quite liberating about releasing music as a solo artist. Finally I can bring together all of my personal influences in one cohesive package!” Focus track, Knee High Dub, is a nod to the sound system dance, with it’s steppers rhythm underpinned by a pounding digital bassline and peppered with jungle breaks.
