MOMOCURLY is a Japanese & French pop band with jazz taste, whose musical talent by fusing the sounds of European and Japanese. The soft and airy voice makes one think we are listening to dreamy jazz that almost takes the step to dream pop. The first album "Cosmic Lips" was released in 2020, followed by the Ep "It's a Lovely Day Today" and the latest one "Momocurly II" released on Fall 22". An immersion in deep Tokyo’s international underground culture. Based in Tokyo, they produce an original pop and jazz sound with an electronic touch. Christophe Pannekoucke and Momo Otani met on the Tokyo jazz scene and traveled together to express themselves in music. They are active on the French and Japanese jazz and pop scene and played over 100 concerts across six countries in Europe and East Asia (Japan, France, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, and England). Momocurly composes, arranges, records all instruments, mixes, and masters their music. Momocurlyは2019年にパリと東京のジャズミュージシャンで結成されたフレンチポップ、ジャズユニット。 メンバーはクリストフ パンヌクックがプロデュースとギター、東京のジャズシーンで活躍するピアニストの大谷桃がボーカルとキーボード、シンセベースを担当する。 フランスと日本のポップ要素、ジャズの醍醐味である即興演奏を絶妙に折り込み、折衷的なバンドサウンドとなっている。 ユニークなオリジナルソングは、インストルメンタルに加えボイスも加わり、キュートで儚げな雰囲気を放つ。 二人はこれまでにジャズクラブやフェスティバルを中心に、ヨーロッパ、日本、国境を越えた６か国で演奏活動を行ってきた。 また、作詞作曲、演奏、録音、ミックス、マスタリング、マネジメント、レーベル等すべて自分たちで行うセルフプロデュースユニットとなっている。 2020年3月1日にバンド初となるアルバム“Cosmic Lips”を発売し、6月5日にはカバーEP、“It's a Lovely Day Today”をストリーミングとオリジナルカセットで発売。2022年11月25日にセカンドアルバム「モモカーリーII」をリリース。ディープな東京のインターナショナルなアンダーグラウンドカルチャーにどっぷり浸かる。
