RUBEN (Ruben van Hemmen) is a Dutch singer and songwriter who started making music and performing as a drummer and singer in various bands at the age of fifteen. By writing many pop orientated songs he developed his love for creating and performing in the genre. The songs of his Pop- folk band 'Small Town Bandits' gained support from Dutch national radio with airplay on Radio 2, 3FM and Radio 5. Over the year he performed in venues like 'Paradiso Amsterdam' as a finalist at 'Grote Prijs van Nederland' and festivals like 'Bevrijdingsfestival' and 'Popronde Nederland.' With his experience he started to collaborate more and more as a singer and songwriter with various artists and producers in (electronic) pop music and House DJ's like Billy The Kit and Lyente, creating and releasing under the name RUBEN.
