Cellist, composer, performer, cabaret artist, educator, mentor, podcaster and presenter, the increasingly un-categorisable Zoë Martlew travels the world in a variety of all these roles and has worked with some of the world’s most renowned contemporary music ensembles, chamber groups, improvisation, film, electronica, multi-media, pop, rock, dance and theatre companies and her own one woman show, Revue Z. Zoë is much in demand as concert narrator, inspirational speaker and competition panellist including BBC TV’s “Maestro”, Young Musician of the Year; Young Musician of the Gulf (Bahrain), Royal Philharmonic Society, Ivor Awards, Eurovision Song Contest. She has written for many publications and is a regular concert presenter, including Barbican Centre and Wigmore Hall UK. Described in the press as “dazzling, gleefully tawdry, electrifying, nuanced, expertly rendered, expressive intensity” Zoë’s music has been performed by leading international artists at well known venues worldwide, and is recorded on Meridian, Caravelle, Albany Records, October House and NMC.
