With his unique style, his constancy for rhythm and his inexhaustible enthusiasm, Shaker Brother channels to make his public dance and journey through an euphoric trance. With the mission of promoting celebration, he uses his talent as a crowd entertainer and, like a “ringmaster”, magnifies the performances of the artists he plays with. Since the legendary catch of his first tambourine directly from the hands of Prince during a concert at the Montreal Forum in 1993, Patrice Marier has combined artistic and entrepreneurial projects. He more recently adopted the artist name Shaker Brother, alongside acclaimed Turkish artist Mercan Dede, as they shared the stage at the iconic PY1 as well as a residency for many years. Having accompanied several DJs and artists including Dexter Crowe, Wachuma, Kora, Nigan, Stéphane Cocke, Nils Fluck, Guy Laliberté, Johnny Ranger, Soul of Zoo, Bran Van 3000, etc., Shaker Brother just returned from Burning Man with his good friend Don Mescal of CosmoVision records.
