David was born in Berkeley, CA and grew up in the Washington DC area. Following his lifelong passion, he moved to California to pursue a career in music.
After receiving a bachelor’s degree in Music from UC San Diego, he moved to Los Angeles and immediately began working as a session musician for many of the larger music houses. Some of these studios include Massive, Elias Arts, and Capitol Records. He very quickly proved his musical worth and started getting commissioned as a composer, as well.
David’s writing spans a wide variety of genres from rock, blues, and indie to hip hop, jazz, and orchestral. He has amassed a resume writing music for television commercials for a wide range of clients including Nissan, Toyota, State Farm, Starbucks, and TurboTax to name a few.
His music has been featured on many TV shows including American Idol, Law & Order: SVU, Million Dollar Listing, Dancing With The Stars, Breaking Amish, and House.
His film credits include Buddy 2014 (Joelle Carter), Hobbes & Phil vs. Zombies 2015 (Jason Harris, Aric Weber), and Here Lies Lonely 2013 (Verne Troyer, Michael A. Goorjian)
David has also been sought out to write theme songs for large corporations, a complete children’s album, as well as a wide variety of material for bands and recording artists. He has various side projects such as his Venice based rock band, “Dirty Birdy.”
