Hailing from South London, West African Diasporan Pyciz (stylised as PYCIZ) is no stranger when it comes to uniquely blending Dance/Electronic sounds with either Afro, Hip-Hop, Disco, Funk or R&B/Soul. His music has been featured on commercials for renowned brands like Hypebeast and Tinder, showcasing his ability to captivate audiences with his distinct style. PYCIZ showed an early flair for music, being taught to play the piano by his grandfather and playing as a drummer in a local church at the tender age of four. His father being a DJ influenced him to delve deeply into music at a young age. Gradually he began to cultivate his style through genre bending, blending an array of sounds into one. At age 14 PYCIZ produced his first mixtape of beats in 2010 under the alias Blacktrick. After a 6-year hiatus PYCIZ released his first EP NyQuist Vol. 1 on soundcloud in 2016 where he would combine hip hop, trap and R&B sounds. Influences such as KAYTRANADA, Nile Rodgers, Bernard Edwards , Labrinth, Black Coffee , Pharrell Williams and Calvin Harris Funk Wav Bounces Vol.1 project would lead him to reinvent his sound to where it is today.
